Job summary

St. Luke’s University Health Network is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Radiology department. The RN will provide nursing care across the life span, assessing, planning, implementing and documenting care, and coordinating with other patient-care teams.

Responsibilities include developing care plans, implementing interventions, and contributing to unit performance improvement. Requires PA or NJ RN license and current BLS; IV meds administration capability is expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate of professional nursing program.
• Registered Nurse with current license to practice in Pennsylvania or New Jersey.
• Current BLS certification required by completion of orientation.
• Ability to monitor and administer IV medications.

Responsibilities

• Performs in-depth, systematic assessment of all assigned patients.
• Formulates collaborative and individualized plan of care and identifies expected patient outcomes.
• Implements, evaluates and documents patient care interventions and effectiveness.
• Organizes, coordinates and prioritizes patient care with available resources.
• Maintains awareness of unit budget.
• Acts as a professional role model and resource for coworkers.
• Participates in unit-based performance improvement.
• Maintains own professional development through in-services and continuing education.
• Complies with established chain of command for work-related problems.
• Participates in identifying unit needs and supports department goals.
• Maintains departmental records for administrative and regulatory purposes.
• Collaborates with caregivers to assure appropriate staffing levels on all shifts.
