Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University Health is seeking a Registered Nurse in Diagnostic Radiology. The role supports patient/family needs with direct age-appropriate care, follows physician orders, and contributes to a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced diagnostic setting.

Positions involve rotating shifts including weekends and holidays, with opportunities to develop leadership skills and supervise other staff as assigned. A BSN is preferred and ongoing education is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Associate Degree in nursing; must enroll in an approved RN to BSN program within two years and complete within five years.
• Current RN licensure in Virginia, eligibility, or compact state licensure.
• AHA BLS HCP certification or equivalent is required for hire and continued employment.
• Clin I: no prior RN experience required; Clin II: 12–24 months RN experience; Clin III: 3 years clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Follow physician/licensed independent provider orders and provide patient-focused nursing care.
• Supervise and organize work for other RNs, LPNs, and care partners as applicable.
• Deliver age-specific care, document it accurately, and handle medications safely.
