Job summary

Effingham Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Radiology Registered Nurse to provide specialized nursing care during radiology and CCTA procedures. You will assess patients, establish IV access, educate families, and monitor vitals throughout the imaging process.

Responsibilities include administering medications per protocol, recognizing adverse reactions, and coordinating with radiologists and technologists. Strong critical care and cardio imaging experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an approved RN program.
• Current, unrestricted RN license; BLS, PALS, ACLS within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of two years' acute care nursing experience; CCU/ED/Cardiology/Radiology preferred.
• Proficient in radiology workflows, imaging protocols, contrast administration, and cardiovascular meds.
• Strong communication, patient education, and ability to respond effectively in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care during radiology and CCTA procedures.
• Assess patients, monitor vitals and cardiac status before, during, and after imaging.
• Educate patients and families about procedures, contrast use, and post-procedure care.
• Establish IV access and administer medications as ordered.
• Respond to adverse events and emergencies; collaborate with radiology and cardiology teams.
