Job summary

Downtown Evansville Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse for Interventional Radiology. The role includes patient assessment, sedation, monitoring, and recovery for IR/CT procedures, coordinating plans with Radiologists and Rad Techs to ensure quality care.

Primary duties include admission/recovery, medication administration, and circulating in the procedure room. Shifts are 4 days weekly, 9-hour shifts, full-time with weekend/holiday rotation and on-call.

Qualifications

• Active Indiana RN license or compact state license.
• ACLS preferred but can be obtained after hire.
• Basic Dysrhythmia knowledge preferred but can be obtained after hire.
• IV skills preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Admission and recovery of patients through Radiology holding room.
• Medication administration.
• Circulating in the procedure room.
• Management of procedure supplies.
• Additional duties as needed.

Job description

Registered Nurse - Interventional Radiology

Day to day, you would be responsible for providing care to patients. Our nursing staff demonstrates their knowledge, critical thinking, and judgment. Services provided by the RN include; supervising care delivered, coordinating plans of care, and providing education for patients/families.

This RN role will be responsible for patient assessment, sedation, monitoring, and recovery care for patients receiving procedures in the IR/CT departments. This RN will work closely with Rad Techs and the Radiologists to ensure quality care for the patients coming thru the Radiology Department. Primary duties will include but not limited to

Admission and recovery of patients thru the Radiology holding room

Medication administration

Circulating in procedure room

Management of procedure supplies

Additional duties as needed

Required: Certifications/Licenses/Experience

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) in Indiana or a compact licensed state
• ACLS preferred but can be obtained after hire
• Basic Dysrhythmia Preferred but can be obtained after hire
• IV skills preferred but not required

This position does require working some weekends and a holiday rotation (typically 1 holiday a year). This position requires on-call rotation.
