Job Description

The Radiologic Technologist in Radiation Therapy will work between Prisma Health Richland and Tuomey Hospital, floating as needed to cover patient schedules. Responsibilities include providing high-quality radiation therapy to patients, monitoring treatment plans, and ensuring patient safety. Technologists are expected to have demonstrated competencies in radiation therapy procedures and be familiar with the Epic charting system.

Responsibilities

• Administer radiation therapy treatments according to prescribed protocols.
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation in the Epic system.
• Ensure patient safety by adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
• Assist in patient and family education regarding treatment processes and care.
• Utilize necessary equipment and technology for treatment delivery and patient monitoring.
• Float to various units within Prisma Health as required, ensuring competencies are met.

Required Experience

• 1+ years of experience in a radiation therapy setting preferred.
• Experience with patient care and handling in a clinical environment.

Certifications/Licensure

• ARRT certification is required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification is required.
• EPIC EMR experience preferred.
