Job summary

Duke Health Integrated Practice seeks a Program Specialist for the PET and Theranostics Division within the Department of Radiology at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC. You will coordinate complex patient workflows, facilitate multidisciplinary communication, and ensure patients meet all clinical, procedural, and scheduling requirements before imaging and therapy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 1 year of program administration experience OR 2 years postsecondary education with 3 years of program administration experience.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology (anatomy).
  • Ability to function independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player with cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate PET and Theranostic patient workflows and verify prerequisites before imaging or therapy.
  • Serve as liaison among referring providers, radiologists, APPs, technologists, nursing, radiopharmacy, scheduling, residents and fellows.
  • Coordinate complex scheduling involving radiopharmaceuticals, labs, multidisciplinary appointments and treatment timelines.
  • Review referrals to ensure clinical and procedural readiness and resolve missing information.
  • Support reading room operations by prioritizing requests and monitoring PACS worklists for timely reports.
  • Participate in quality improvement projects to enhance access and workflow efficiency.
