Duke Health Integrated Practice seeks a Program Specialist for the PET and Theranostics Division within the Department of Radiology located in Durham to coordinate complex patient workflows and ensure patients meet all clinical, procedural, and scheduling requirements prior to PET imaging and theranostic treatment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 1 year of program administration experience or 2 years postsecondary education with 3 years of program administration or event production.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology (anatomy).
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate PET and Theranostic workflows and verify prerequisites before imaging or therapy.
  • Act as liaison among referring providers, radiologists, APPs, technologists, nursing, radiopharmacy, scheduling teams, residents, and fellows to coordinate patient care activities.
  • Manage complex scheduling involving radiopharmaceutical availability, laboratory requirements, multidisciplinary appointments, and treatment timelines.
  • Review referrals to confirm clinical and procedural readiness prior to treatment or imaging.
  • Support reading room operations and prioritize PACS-related requests for timely reports.
  • Participate in quality improvement projects to enhance patient access and workflow.
  • Perform other duties incidental to the work described herein.
