Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a patient transporter to support the Radiology department. Under general supervision, you will move patients safely between floors, ensure dignity, and communicate with care teams to coordinate transfers.

Shifts run Monday through Friday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with rotating weekends and holidays. Prior healthcare transportation experience is preferred; education is a High School diploma, and pay ranges from $17.00 to $22.88 per hour, with overtime and shift

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: 1–2 years of related healthcare transportation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients to and from nursing floors to Radiology departments in a courteous, timely, and safe manner.
• Ensures patients are safely placed in wheelchairs and stretchers.
• Transports patients according to hospital procedures and logs patient transfers appropriately.
• Communicates with patients and families to maintain comfort and safety.
• Follows patient identification procedures and notifies nursing staff when patients depart/return.
