Responsibilities

• The Clerk Coordinator is the first point of contact in the Radiology department and must ensure a pleasant experience for both patients and visitors.
• The Clerk Coordinator minimizes medical risk by correctly identifying patients and verifying orders for the correct procedure.
• Manages clerical functions: answering phones, transferring calls, taking messages, scheduling appointments and tests as needed.
• Processes and coordinates requests, prints, scans, faxes, and distributes documents; copies images to CDs and releases records per Release of Information policy.
• Maintains continuous contact with patients, the public, hospital personnel, and medical staff with professionalism.
