Carson Valley Health in Gardnerville, NV is seeking a Radiology Patient Care Tech for full-time day shift. You will assist with patient care flow, transport patients for imaging, and support the department’s clinical functions in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent.
• BLS certificate required (or obtain within 90 days of hire).
• Previous experience working in a hospital setting highly preferred.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Good organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Medical terminology and/or medical experience preferred.
• Ability to read and communicate in English, bilingual abilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews the department's record keeping system and recommends changes and/or updates as needed.
• Get pillows and blankets for patient as needed.
• Answer phones as needed.
• Transport patients to and from other departments as needed.
• Updating patients and visitors on wait times for procedures per CVH standards.
• Transporting patients to and from departments for medical imaging procedures.
• Working with staff to determine other patient care needs.
• Daily communication with personnel from all departments for scheduling diagnostic tests and treatments.
• Daily communication with physicians, nurses, visitors, and patients.
