Job summary

Carson Valley Health is seeking a Radiology Patient Care Tech to support imaging services and patient flow in Gardnerville, NV. The per diem position involves transporting patients for procedures and updating patients about wait times, working closely with staff to meet patient care needs.

Per diem status means no guaranteed hours; schedule is on an as-needed basis with a 15% premium on the hourly rate. A BLS certificate and high school diploma are required or obtainable within 90 days; prior

Qualifications

BLS certificate required or obtain within 90 days of hire.
Previous hospital experience highly preferred.
Basic computer skills required.
Good organizational and multi-tasking skills.
Medical terminology and/or medical experience preferred.
Ability to read and communicate in English, bilingual abilities preferred.

Responsibilities

Reviews the department's record keeping system and recommends changes and/or updates as needed.
Get pillows and blankets for patient as needed.
Answer phones as needed.
Transport patients to and from other departments as needed.
Daily communication with personnel from all departments for scheduling diagnostic tests and treatments.
Daily communication with physicians, nurses, visitors, and patients.
