Job summary

UNC Health in Chapel Hill, NC is hiring a Patient Care Assistant to support Radiologic Technologists in daily imaging operations. You will assist with patient transport, prepare exam rooms, restock supplies, and provide patient care under supervision in a Diagnostic Radiology department.

Hours are Friday through Sunday, 7:00pm–7:30am. The role requires BCLS certification and up to six months of related experience; compensation ranges from $18.00 to $24.66 per hour, onsite with standard 40-hour

Qualifications

• BCLS certification is required.
• Six months related imaging support experience preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and communicate clinical information.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe environment for patients, staff and others.
• Assist with patient transport to imaging areas.
• Prepare exam rooms and imaging equipment for procedures.
• Restock supplies and ensure proper disinfection of rooms and equipment.
• Transport specimens and materials as needed within the facility.
• Answer phones and perform desk duties as required.
• Position patients safely under supervision of Radiologic Technologists/Physicians.
