Job summary

Advocate Health Care in Chicago is seeking an experienced Radiology Supervisor to oversee technologist staffing and scheduling within the Radiology Department, ensuring high-quality imaging services and patient care.

The role includes staff training, performance supervision, and coordination with Operations to maintain safety and efficiency. Strong communication and leadership are essential for success in this on-site position.

Qualifications

3-5 years experience in related field; Associate or Certificate of Radiology Technology.
ARRT Registration and CPR Certification are required.

Responsibilities

Prepares technologist work schedules and approves changes according to staffing needs.
Manages adjustments for unscheduled staff shortages and overtime approvals.
Verifies Time and Attendance records for accuracy.
Coordinates training and evaluates staff competency; conducts formal and informal training.
Acts as immediate supervisor for employees in the department; attends Center Operations Meetings.
Oversees support staff and ensures completion of duties.
Coordinates film/report requests and maintains department documentation.
Ensures high quality radiology and mammography exams are performed.
Monitors equipment, troubleshoots minor issues and coordinates maintenance.
