Job summary

Aurora Health Care is seeking a radiology supervisor to oversee daily operations in the imaging department. The role ensures coverage, patient safety, and adherence to exam protocols while guiding staff and coordinating workflow.

The incumbent will validate exam quality, participate in ongoing staff training, manage supplies and compliance, and collaborate with physicians to keep SOPs up to date. Strong leadership and ARRT credentials are required.

Qualifications

  • ARRT registered in Radiography and Mammography.
  • Graduate of an institution recognized by ARRT in Radiologic Technology.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in related field.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises activities of the assigned area and ensures coverage of all scanners daily.
  • Coordinates workflow and prioritizes procedures across the department.
  • Ensures patient care quality and safety in line with requested procedures.
  • Validates exam quality and participates in staff training and meetings.
  • Orders and maintains supplies; manages PAR levels and security of stock.
  • Assists in administration of medications/contrast material as directed with proper credentials.
  • Maintains staff records, PTO, absences, payroll, and performance appraisals.
  • Maintains throughput status reports and coordinates equipment downtime communication.
  • Ensures equipment QA and regulatory compliance; reports engineering needs as required.
  • Works with physician staff to update SOPs and procedural guidelines.
  • Supports QA/PI activities and department initiatives.
