Job summary

Montefiore Medical Center is seeking an Assistant Director of Radiology to oversee MAP and Gun Hill MRI operations in the Bronx. You will manage staff, align with finance and quality teams, and drive patient-centered service delivery in outpatient radiology.

Responsibilities include staffing, budgeting, performance metrics, safety, and compliance with JC and ACR standards. A collaborative leadership role with physicians and administrators is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• NYS License in Radiologic Technology required.
• ARRT Certification in at least one modality required.
• Five years of imaging service supervision experience preferred.
• Proficient in computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of MAP and GH facilities, including staff and tech supervision.
• Monitor volume and revenue against budget targets.
• Report quality indicators to senior administration (turnaround times, patient wait times, radiation dose).
• Collaborate on service excellence and patient-centered radiology initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with JC and ACR standards; maintain safety procedures and training records.
• Develop staffing plans to maintain high quality, efficient operations.
• Coordinate with IT for innovative solutions and with Medical Director for clinical program development.
