Job summary

Middlesex Health in Connecticut is seeking a Radiology Coordinator to supervise daily imaging operations in Urgent Care Middletown. You will coordinate workflow, patient care during imaging procedures, and quality control to ensure compliant and efficient service.

The role requires ARRT certification, JRCERT radiography education, and leadership experience. You will mentor technicians, perform QA/QC, and liaise with the Radiology Dept. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a JRCERT accredited Radiography program.
• ARRT Certification/Eligible in good standing.
• State of Connecticut License/Eligible.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Leadership experience including coaching and staff scheduling preferred.
• Two or more imaging modalities proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care essential to imaging procedures; follow policies and standards.
• Function as a Medical Assistant to room patients; obtain vitals and interview patients.
• Mentor staff and students; provide coaching and problem solving.
• Perform QC checks and coordinate machine maintenance as needed.
• Conduct QA checks for technicians and provide training when necessary.
• Record and address errors or incidents with technicians.
• Act as liaison between Radiology and Urgent Care clinics to maintain current practice.
• Perform wide range of imaging procedures with initiative and teamwork.
