Job summary

Middlesex Health in Middletown is seeking a Radiology Coordinator to supervise daily imaging operations and quality control for the Urgent Care modality. You will mentor staff, perform QC checks, and coordinate equipment maintenance to ensure patient safety and service excellence.

The role requires ARRT certification/eligibility, a JRCERT-accredited radiography program, and Connecticut license eligibility, with strong leadership and communication skills to support a high-performing imaging team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a JRCERT accredited Radiography program.
• ARRT Certification/Eligible in good standing.
• State of Connecticut License/Eligible.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Bachelor degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care essential to imaging procedures. Exercises professional judgment in the performance of procedures and in accordance with health system policies, protocols and standards.
• Function as a Medical Assistant to room patients; obtain vitals, reconcile medications, and interview patients to identify chief complaints.
• Mentor staff and students; provide coaching and problem solving guidance.
• Perform regular quality control (QC) checks and coordinate machine maintenance as needed.
• Perform regular QA checks for each technician and provide training when necessary.
• Record and address errors or incidents with technicians.
• Serve as liaison between Radiology and Urgent Care clinics to align practice standards.
• Perform a wide range of imaging procedures and promote morale and teamwork.
