Job summary

Livingston HealthCare is seeking a radiology nurse to support a range of imaging procedures, including interventional radiology, CT, ultrasound, MRI, and mammography. The role involves sedation administration, patient assessment, and collaboration with the radiology team to ensure safe, high-quality care.

The schedule is PRN with 6:00am–3:00pm shifts, Mon-Thurs. Current BLS is required; ACLS and PALS within one year of hire are preferred.

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS, PALS certification within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintains appropriate departmental skills/knowledge and application of relevant and commonly used equipment, pharmacology, and laboratory.
• Facilitate patient education, and discharge instructions.
• Assesses patient’s condition and nursing needs.
• Documents accurately in patient records per policy.
• Reports changes in patient condition to physicians/radiologists.
• Administers sedation as required.
• Interprets cardiac rhythms.
• Reviews patient history and medications.
• Initiates and titrates IV medications.
• Completes preprocedural checklists for safe medication practices.
• Uses evidence-based nursing practices.
• Responds to emergencies and adverse events appropriately.
• Participates in quality and safety monitoring and performance improvements.
• Attends mandatory trainings.
• Completes annual competencies.
• Maintains clean and safe environment.
• Takes accountability for actions.
