Job summary

Norman Regional is seeking qualified EMTs to provide critical assessments and nursing care. Applicants must complete their EMT Basic or Intermediate Program and be licensed by the Oklahoma State Department of Health. Ideal candidates will have some experience in emergency operations and ICS training.

Responsibilities include evaluating patient health needs, implementing care plans, and ensuring compliance with BLS standards. A valid Oklahoma driver’s license and clean driving record are also required.

Qualifications

• FEMA Incident Command System (ICS) Modules 100, 200, and 700 preferred.
• Experience in emergency vehicle operations is preferred.
• Currently attending Paramedic School is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Systematically assesses / reassesses the health care needs of individuals.
• Analyzes assessment to determine nursing diagnosis and expected outcomes.
• Provides nursing care through interventions guided by evidence-based practice.
• Evaluates patient outcomes and recognizes problems.
