Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in a clinical nuclear medicine setting preferred.
• Basic computer experience required.
• Nuclear Medicine Certification (ARRT or NMTCB) required.
• State Licensure required - Texas MRT by TMB.
• BLS certification (AHA) required.

Responsibilities

• Perform imaging procedures to assist in patient throughput.
• Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and standards of care as required by state and federal regulations.
• Adapt patient assessment and treatment methods to accommodate individual patient needs.
• Complete daily logs and periodic tests as required by licensure.
• Maintain radiation safety protocols while handling radionuclides and pharmaceuticals.
• Participate in ongoing education and safety initiatives within the scope of licensure.
• Work collaboratively with management, coworkers, and physicians to promote staff growth and exceptional patient care.
• Troubleshoot and report equipment malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.

Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Job Description

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will perform a wide variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures and provide support for other imaging technologists as needed. This role facilitates efficient patient flow and demonstrates flexibility by working various shifts or at other campuses as required. The technologist must troubleshoot basic maintenance, participate in quality assurance, and resolve issues related to image processing and archiving systems.

Schedule

This position is full-time, with shift hours from 07:00 to 17:00, requiring on-call duty, including weekends, typically every second or third weekend.
