Job summary

Hmixray is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in Palm Springs, CA to perform high-quality nuclear medicine and PET/CT imaging, ensuring patient safety and accurate dosing. The role requires ARRT(N) or NMTCB certification, state license, and BLS, with prior experience in high-volume environments.

Qualifications

• ARRT(N) or NMTCB certification is required.
• State Nuclear Medicine License is required.
• Experience working in a high-volume setting is required.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs high quality nuclear medicine and/or PET/CT images with outstanding patient care.
• Ensures proper dose of radionuclides ordered for each patient.
• Starts IV lines or venipuncture for isotope injection.
• Administers radionuclide safely and effectively.
• Explains test procedures and safety precautions to patients.
• Monitors patient well-being during exams and responds to issues.
• Maintains nuclear medicine information system and regulatory reports.
• Under radiologist supervision, administers radiopharmaceuticals to detect or treat diseases.
• Ensures safeguarding of patient data, property, and PHI.
• Adheres to on-site medication policies and company procedures.

When you join us as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be joining a dedicated team of professionals who deliver quality, value, and access in the 21st century and align all stakeholders- patients, providers, payors, and regulators to achieve the best clinical outcomes.

You Will:

• Performs high quality nuclear medicine and/or positron emission tomography/computed tomography images on patients while providing excellent care.
• Assures proper dose of radionuclides are ordered for each patient.
• Starts intravenous lines or performs straight stick venipuncture for isotope injection.
• Administers radionuclide in a safe and effective manner.
• Explains test procedures and safety precautions to patients, guiding them through a sometimes difficult process by gently talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
• Monitors patients’ well- being during exams; recognizes patient discomfort or medical problems and takes appropriate action.
• Maintains a nuclear medicine information system for all patient dosing, calibration, receiving and disposition, and all regulatory reports required by the RAM license.
• Under the direction of the radiologist, administers radiopharmaceuticals to detect or treat diseases using radioisotopes.
• Demonstrates a high level of competency and ensures team members are safeguarding patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Responsible for safeguarding on-site medications following Company policies, procedures, and any legal requirements and ensures employee adherence to on-site medication policies
• Demonstrates and ensures team members a high level of respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on-site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
