Qualifications

• High School Diploma and BLS certification required.

• Ability to assist imaging staff and coordinate patient care.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for safe and effective delivery of patient care under the direction of the technologist.
• Assists in preparing the patient for the exam and is sensitive to their needs.
• Assists patients on and off procedure tables and to and from procedure rooms.
• Oversees coordination of patient care and communicates pertinent information to other providers.
• Routinely inspects transport equipment and notifies staff when repair is needed.
• Transports patients to and from the Imaging department, ensuring comfort and safety.
• May perform IV insertion upon competency.
