Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• IV insertion proficiency preferred at some sites.

Responsibilities

• Safe and effective delivery of patient care under technologist guidance.
• Assist in preparing the patient for the exam and attend to needs.
• Assist patients on/off procedure tables and to/from procedure rooms.
• Oversee coordination of patient care.
• Communicate pertinent information to other care providers after procedures.
• Inspect transport equipment and report repairs when needed.
• Transport patients to/from Imaging department maintaining comfort and safety.
• May perform IV insertion upon competency.
