UVMMC - Medical Center - Main Campus in Burlington, VT is seeking a Radiology Medical Assistant to support radiologic technologists. Responsibilities include clerical tasks, stocking rooms, assisting patients, and scheduling exams in Radiology Information System (Radiant).

Education requires a high school diploma; LNA or equivalent medical experience is preferred. Prior hospital experience is desirable; this is a bargaining union position.

• This position will be trained to start IVs in some modalities.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Radiology Medical Assistant assists radiologic technologists in conducting patient exams by assisting in the clerical and non-technical and non- exposure technical aspects of the exam. The RMA is responsible for assisting the technologists, Radiology Nurse and radiologists in many functions including stocking rooms, aiding patients to and from the exam rooms, and scheduling exams in the radiology information system (Radiant). The RMA is responsible for arranging and scheduling inpatients to come down for their appointments and transporting patients to and from the radiology department. This position will be trained to start IV's in some modalities.

EDUCATION:

EXPERIENCE:

Previous hospital or health care experience preferred.
