UVM Health - UVM Medical Center is seeking a Radiology Medical Assistant to support radiologic technologists and nursing staff during patient exams. The role includes clerical tasks, room stocking, assisting patients, and coordinating exam scheduling in the Radiology Information System (Radiant).

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, with LNA or comparable medical experience preferred. Hospital experience is advantageous.

Job Description

The Radiology Medical Assistant assists radiologic technologists in conducting patient exams by assisting in the clerical and non-technical and non- exposure technical aspects of the exam. The RMA is responsible for assisting the technologists, Radiology Nurse and radiologists in many functions including stocking rooms, aiding patients to and from the exam rooms, and scheduling exams in the radiology information system (Radiant). The RMA is responsible for arranging and scheduling inpatients to come down for their appointments and transporting patients to and from the radiology department. This position will be trained to start IV’s in some modalities.

Education

High school graduate or equivalent. LNA or comparable medical experience preferred. This position requires verification of your high school diploma. Please be prepared to provide a copy should you be invited in for an interview.

Experience

Previous hospital or health care experience preferred.
