Located in a Level II Trauma Center.
Designated as a Magnet hospital.
This position involves working in a clinical services environment focused on cardiology.
The facility includes 2 Cath Labs, 1 EP Room, and 1 Hybrid Room.
The daily average case load is between 10-12 cases.
The role is strictly intra-procedural; no pre/post experience is required.
Procedures include diagnostic and interventional heart catheterizations, right heart catheterizations, Impella and balloon pump procedures, thrombectomies, STEMI/MI, and some CTOs.
In the EP Lab, procedures include pacemaker implantation, ablations, and tilt table tests.
The Hybrid room deals with AAA repairs, Watchman procedures, and TAVR.
Charge nurse support is available on the unit, who may assist with patient assignments during breaks.
Registered Technologists are available 24/7 for support, and hospitalists provide continuous coverage.
Cardiologists are on-site during the day and available on call at night.
Emergency response is managed by the Rapid Response Team or Code Team.
Charting is done through an EMR system, and various medical equipment is utilized within the facility.
Cross-training may be required to assist in additional interventional radiology procedures if comfortable.
Weekend rotations are required, involving call shifts on weekends and weekdays.
Call shifts require a 30-minute response time, and a three-person call team comprises a nurse and a technologist.
Holiday expectations include being on call, with 1-2 holidays scheduled per contract.
Time off requests are managed through direct supervision.
Scrub colors for the position will be procedural and provided by the facility.
