Job summary

Unity Health is seeking a Radiology Image Exchange Specialist to coordinate the secure receipt, uploading, retrieval, and transfer of diagnostic imaging studies and related reports with Unity Health, external facilities, physician offices, imaging centers, and other approved requestors.

This position works closely with Radiology staff and the PACS Administrator to ensure imaging studies are available timely and accurately for patient care, consultation, referral, continuity of care, and provider

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; an associate degree is preferred.
• 1 year of experience in radiology, medical records, or healthcare IT preferred.
• Knowledge of radiology terminology and diagnostic imaging procedures preferred.
• Ability to comply with HIPAA and privacy policies.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate secure receipt, uploading, retrieval, and transfer of imaging studies and reports.
• Work with Radiology staff and PACS Administrator to ensure timely access for patient care.
• Process incoming/outgoing imaging requests via PACS, CDs, or cloud transfers.
• Verify patient information and maintain accurate documentation.
• Escalate PACS or workflow issues to leadership as needed.
