Job summary

Unity Health in Searcy, AR is seeking a Radiology Image Exchange Specialist for a temporary position. You will coordinate secure receipt, uploading, retrieval, and transfer of diagnostic imaging studies and reports between Unity Health and external facilities.

This role requires attention to detail, ability to communicate with physicians and radiology staff, and adherence to HIPAA. Experience with PACS, image exchange platforms, or EMR systems is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• One year of experience in Radiology or related healthcare setting preferred.
• Experience with electronic medical records and image exchange platforms.
• Knowledge of radiology terminology and diagnostic imaging procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the secure receipt, uploading, retrieval, and transfer of diagnostic imaging studies and related reports.
• Work with Radiology staff and the PACS Administrator to ensure imaging studies are available timely and accurate for patient care.
• Process incoming and outgoing imaging requests using PACS, image exchange platforms, CDs, or cloud-based transfers.
• Verify patient information, confirm exam completeness, and maintain documentation; follow HIPAA and privacy requirements.
• Escalate technical issues to the PACS Administrator or leadership.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle protected health information.
