Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or able to obtain.
• Experience in patient care and customer service is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for safe and effective delivery of patient care under the direction of the technologist.
• Assists in preparing the patient for exam and attends to their needs during care.
• Assists patients on and off procedure tables and to and from procedure rooms.
• Coordinates patient care and communicates information to other care providers after procedures.
• Routinely inspects transport equipment and notifies staff for repairs if needed.
• Transports patients to and from Imaging while ensuring comfort and safety.
• May perform IV insertion upon competency.
