The role requires a high school diploma or GED, solid computer and communication skills, and experience in patient service; medical terminology is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients in a friendly and service-oriented manner.
• Verify insurance and patient information, collect signatures, and ensure documentation accuracy.
• Collect and log co-pays and fees.
• Answer, and transfer incoming calls.
• Schedule, reschedule or cancel appointments and notify staff of changes.
• Provide patient orientation for preparatory and safety protocols and directions to facilities.
• Coordinate with back-office staff for timely patient care.
• Safeguard patient information and property in line with policies.
• Safeguard medications on site per policies and legal requirements.
• Demonstrate professional behavior toward patients and coworkers, respecting boundaries and cultures.
• Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
