Job summary

Valley View Medical Center in Fort Mohave, AZ is seeking a Radiology Extern to join our per diem/PRN team. You will perform imaging procedures, review orders, educate patients, assist with exams, and support clerical tasks to ensure smooth workflow.

As a member of lifepoint Health, you’ll contribute to patient care, equipment prep, and patient transport while pursuing professional development and benefiting from wellbeing programs offered to staff.

Qualifications

• Applicants should be a second (2nd) year student of a program of discipline.
• Radiation Operator licensed through the state board of radiology, AART within twelve (12) months of graduation.
• Basic Life Support (BLS).

Responsibilities

• Perform various imaging procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
• Review patient history and physician's orders.
• Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
• Assist with imaging exams in multiple modalities.
• Perform various clerical duties and assist with diagnostic exams.
• Prepare equipment and supplies.
• Transport patients.
