Job summary

Valley View Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Radiology Extern for a per diem/PRN schedule. You will support imaging procedures, review orders, and educate patients under supervision while advancing your radiology training.

We require a second-year radiology student and a Radiation Operator license within 12 months of graduation, plus BLS certification. Join us in Fort Mohave, AZ for hands-on experience and professional growth.

A Radiology Extern who excels in this role:

• Perform various imaging procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
• Review patient history and physician's orders.
• Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
• Assist with imaging exams in multiple modalities.
• Perform various clerical duties and assist with diagnostic exams.
• Prepare equipment and supplies.
• Transport patients.

What We're Looking For

Applicants should be a second (2nd) year student of a program of discipline. Additional requirements include:

• Radiation Operator licensed through the state board of radiology, AART within twelve (12) months of graduation.
• Basic Life Support (BLS).
