Job summary

Havasu Regional Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks a Radiology Extern (Per Diem/PRN) to join our team in Lake Havasu City, AZ. This role supports imaging procedures, patient history review, and education to ensure understanding.

The position offers exposure to multiple modalities and clerical support, with opportunities for professional growth within Lifepoint Health’s network.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support is required.
• Radiation Operator license through the state Board of Radiology (ARRT) within 12 months of graduation.

Responsibilities

• Perform imaging procedures in accordance with scope and standards of practice.
• Review patient history and physician's orders.
• Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment and exams to ensure understanding.
• Assist with imaging exams in multiple modalities.
• Perform clerical tasks and assist with diagnostic exams.
• Prepare equipment and supplies.
• Transport patients.

A Radiology Technician who excels in this role:

• Perform various imaging procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
• Review patient history and physician's orders.
• Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment and exams to ensure patient’s understanding and cooperation.
• Assist with imaging exams in multiple modalities.
• Perform various clerical duties and assist with diagnostic exams.
• Prepare equipment and supplies.
• Transport patients.

Applicants should be a current 2nd year student of a program of discipline. Additional requirements include:
