Job summary

Valley View Medical Center, Fort Mohave, AZ, is seeking a Radiology Extern per diem/PRN to assist imaging services within a community hospital setting. The externship emphasizes practical imaging practice, patient interaction, and support across modalities while exploring career development in radiology.

As a 2nd-year student, you will gain hands-on experience under supervision, learn safety protocols, and participate in routine imaging workflows.

Qualifications

• Must be a second-year student in a program of discipline.
• Radiation Operator licensed through the state board of radiology, or will obtain license within twelve (12) months of graduation.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform imaging procedures in accordance with scope and standards of practice.
• Review patient history and physician orders.
• Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• Assist with imaging exams across multiple modalities.
• Perform clerical tasks and assist with diagnostic exams.
• Prepare equipment and supplies; transport patients.

How You'll Contribute

Applicants should be a second (2nd) year student of a program of discipline. Additional requirements include:

• Radiation Operator licensed through the state board of radiology, AART within twelve (12) months of graduation.
• Basic Life Support (BLS).
