Job summary

Valley View Medical Center is seeking a Cath Lab Technician to join the Fort Mohave, AZ team. You will provide direct patient care, monitor patient status, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize outcomes in the cath lab. ARRT certification and BLS are required; ACLS within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Registered by ARRT as Radiologic Technologist.
• CI or RCIS preferred.
• BLS.
• ACLS obtained within 6 months of hire.
• One year experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in accordance with scope and standards.
• Ensure patient safety and minimize healthcare errors.
• Develop and revise individualized care plans daily.
• Monitor and communicate patient condition to care team and family.
• Coordinate across disciplines for transfer, discharge, referral, and support needs.
• Educate patient and family appropriate to age and culture.
• Advocate for patient well-being and rights.

How You'll Contribute

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.


• Perform all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/healthcare errors.


• Ability to formulate an individualized plan of care, revise plan as indicated by the patient's response to treatment, and evaluation overall plan daily for effectiveness.


• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to care team, provider, patient, and family following chain of command as appropriate.


• Collaborate as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.


• Evaluate learning needs of patient and/or family and provide patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.


• Work as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient protecting patient's rights.

What We're Looking For

Applicants should be a graduate of a program in discipline. Additional requirements include:

• Registered by ARRT as Radiologic Technologist.


• CI or RCIS preferred.


• BLS.


• ACLS obtained within 6 months of hire.


• One (1) year experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab preferred.
