Average number of cases per day: 20+
Common diagnoses/types of patients include Ablations (A.Fib, A. Flutter, SVT, VT, etc.), EP studies with programmed stimulation, Pacemaker & ICD placements, and Loop recorder implants.
Job duties include verifying orders and consent, conducting head-to-toe assessments, providing patient education, consent verification, setting up rooms, circulating cases, administering moderate sedation, assisting anesthesia providers, continuous monitoring of hemodynamics, documentation, and coordinating with the team.
Experience or must-have skills include 2 years of cath lab experience and specific experience depending on utilization.
Required equipment includes EMR systems like Merge and Cerner.
Schedule includes weeknight and weekend call rotation, approximately once every 3 weekdays and once every 3 weekends.
Holiday call may be required occasionally.
Call response time is 30 minutes.
Scrub color and dress code: Provided scrubs with the option to wear personal scrub caps.
Unit/department-specific orientation requires 2 to 3 full days of training/shadowing.
Clinicians must clock in and out at the facility.
