Job summary

NYU Langone Health's Department of Radiology seeks a Vice Chair of Education to lead the department's education strategy and innovations in teaching. You will shape residency and fellowship programs and guide faculty across the education portfolio.

Reporting to the Chair, you will advance AI-enabled learning, mentorship, and educational scholarship while ensuring compliance with ACGME and institutional standards. This is a high-impact academic leadership role in New York.

Qualifications

• MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree from an accredited institution.
• Board certification in Radiology.
• Current academic appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Full Professor.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, innovate, and collaborate.

Responsibilities

• Set and advance the strategic direction for the department's educational mission.
• Foster a culture of educational innovation and continuous improvement.
• Champion the integration of newer technologies- including artificial intelligence and asynchronous learning - into daily educational practice.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to educational faculty and program leaders.
• Identify and facilitate opportunities for educational research and scholarship.
• Develop mechanisms to evaluate educational programs and measure the effectiveness of new initiatives.
• Ensure that educational programs meet applicable ACGME, institutional, and other accreditation requirements and standards.
