Job summary

The Vice Chair, Education Department of Radiology will report to the Chair of Radiology and provide strategic direction and operational oversight for the department’s education mission across undergraduate, graduate, and continuing medical education. The role also serves as Director of the Herbert Gramm Education Academy at HMS, advancing teaching excellence and faculty development.

Qualifications

• MD board-certified in Radiology.
• Experience leading ACGME-accredited educational programs.
• Track record in educational innovation and faculty development.
• Eligible for Assistant or Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School; rank commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

• Set and advance the Department’s educational vision across UME, GME, and CME.
• Align educational initiatives with HMS priorities and institutional goals.
• Lead education operations and oversee the education budget in partnership with Radiology Finance.
• Supervise program directors and develop a culture of trainee well-being.
• Promote educational scholarship and national visibility of the programs.
