U.M. FDSP Associates, an affiliate of the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, seeks a chairside dental assistant. Under supervision of a licensed dentist, you will perform clinical duties to support patient care and maintain radiographic records in a standards-compliant clinic.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED; 1 year related experience.
• CPR certification required; Maryland radiography requirements must be met.
• Knowledge of four-handed dentistry techniques and instrument handling.

Aufgaben

• Performs intra-oral rinsing and aspiration.
• Retracts oral tissues including lips, cheeks, tongue.
• Places and removes isolation materials for the dentition.
• Checks for loose bands.
• Provides oral hygiene instructions to patients.
• Performs intra-oral photography and radiographs.
• Takes impressions for mouth guards or diagnostic casts.
• Orders, receives, and maintains inventory of clinical supplies.
• Cleans and maintains clinic equipment; disposables handling.
• May enter data or schedule follow-ups; infection control procedures.
• Applies topical anesthesia and performs curing with halogen light.
