Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is seeking a Radiology - CT Tech for a 13-week assignment in Michigan. The technologist assists radiologists with CT and radiographic imaging, following protocols and ensuring minimal radiation exposure. Work is Monday–Thursday, 10:00 PM–8:00 AM, with patient care and data recording throughout the procedure.

Requires 2+ years CT experience and ARRT CT certification; BLS is required. Toshiba CT Scanner experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of CT experience.
• Active ARRT CT certification required.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Proficient in X-ray imaging and patient positioning.

Responsibilities

• Assist radiologist and physicians with CT and radiographic images.

Description:This position assists the radiologist and other physicians with high-quality computerized tomographic and radiographic images required for the diagnosis and treatment of patients.It ensures the least amount of radiation exposure to patients and oneself.The technologist provides general care to patients while in the department.The technologist performs computer tomography studies following protocol.They are able to differentiate between normal and abnormal anatomy and will tailor exams in accordance with patient history obtained, protocol, and radiologist instruction.The technologist administers IV and oral contrast as required for procedures according to protocols.They follow departmental protocols and institutional guidelines for the delivery of IV contrast material.The technologist monitors patients' physical and mental condition throughout the entire procedure.They record any and all patient data appropriately.The technologist provides radiation protection for patients, self, and others using gonadal shielding and collimation where applicable.They document acknowledgment of scheduling as directed.The tech performs nursing duties, including assisting the radiologist in sterile procedures and practicing sterile technique.They obtain vital signs and pertinent clinical history.The technologist must be proficient in venous puncture and will document any and all important data appropriately.They will identify allergic reactions or any other urgent medical condition and will notify and assist the radiologist in the treatment of such situations.
