Description:This position will involve working days, evenings, nights, and weekends.The scheduled shifts will be four 10-hour shifts, including Sunday night to Thursday night.The CT Technologist will coordinate and produce quality computerized tomography studies, as well as assist in CT‑guided procedures.The technologist must demonstrate critical thinking skills and knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, radiation safety, and venipuncture.Safe medication administration, particularly with contrast media, is essential.Responsibilities include the safe operation of advanced imaging equipment to produce quality CT procedures.Accurate documentation and image transmission, as well as effective communication, are crucial.The technologist will demonstrate knowledge of age‑appropriate criteria when working with all patient populations, including those at high risk and critically ill patients.This role includes accountability for accurate charge capture and record documentation.The patient population served includes neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.The technologist will perform quality computerized tomography examinations for review by the interpreting physician.CT examinations will be coordinated according to physician orders and established protocols.The technologist will perform venipuncture and medication administration with a focus on safety and effectiveness.The patient's condition will be assessed prior to the performance of the study to ensure safety and cooperation.Patient education will be provided, addressing any concerns before the execution of the CT exam.The technologist will demonstrate proficiency in using picture archiving and communication systems (PACS) for image management.Knowledge and adherence to all regulatory requirements are essential for this role.
