Sisters of Mercy Urgent Care DBA Mercy Urgent Care is seeking a Radiology Tech Assistant (Cross-Trained Clinic Support) to join as a PRN team member in Boone, NC. You will help with imaging workflows, patient care tasks, and front desk duties in a fast-paced, nonprofit urgent care setting.

The role emphasizes cross-training across radiology, clinical support, and registration, with a focus on safety, accuracy, and patient confidentiality in a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a certified Radiologic Technology program is required.
• Strong communication skills and comfort working with patients in a fast-paced setting.
• Willingness and ability to cross-train in clinical support and front desk duties.
• Ability to stay organized, manage multiple tasks, and maintain attention to detail.
• Knowledge of HIPAA standards and commitment to patient confidentiality.
• Physical ability to perform medium work, including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50lbs, with reasonable accommodations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Radiology and Imaging Support: Perform imaging using CR and DR equipment within training and scope, following ALARA and other radiation safety standards.
• Clinical Support: Assist with clinical tasks such as vital signs, EKGs, spirometry, drug screens, and other patient care workflows within training and scope.
• Front Desk and Patient Access: Greet patients warmly and help create a supportive, welcoming experience; assist with registration workflows and basic administrative tasks.
• Clinic Operations and Safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment; support daily operations across clinic functions.
