Job summary

Dignity Health - Arroyo Grande Community Hospital is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform a range of imaging exams and help radiologists diagnose patient conditions. You will participate in X-ray, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, CT, and MRI procedures while ensuring a positive patient experience.

Strong understanding of diagnostic imaging workflows, patient positioning, and precise image capture is essential. Previous hospital radiology and admitting scheduling experience are preferred.

• Previous experience in a medical setting, preferably in radiology
• Experience in Admitting scheduling

Responsibilities

• Produce diagnostic images (X-ray, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, CT/MRI) to support Radiologists.
• Distribute daily schedules to Radiologist, Imaging sections and Admitting department.
• Process examination requests for inpatients and enter orders into the system.
• Answer telephones and take messages.
• Process patient film jackets for examinations and respond to report requests.
• Pull films for clinics and physician offices as requested.

As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions.

Each day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.

To excel, you must deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.

• Insures daily schedules are distributed to Radiologist, Imaging sections and Admitting department.
• Process examination requests for inpatients and complete order entry into computer system as necessary.
• Answer telephones and takes messages.
• Process patient film jackets for examinations.
• Answer telephone requests for examination reports and call reports to offices as needed.
• Pull films for clinics and physicians offices as requested.
