Cynet HealthStaff is seeking a Radiology - Cath Lab Tech to join a fast-paced Cardiac Cath Lab team in Denton, TX. This 13-week assignment requires day shifts, 10-hour shifts, and a minimum of 1 year of experience with cath lab procedures.

The role involves scrubbing and circulating for Cath Lab cases, rotating call duties about 50% of the month, and exposure to electrophysiology and interventional radiology procedures using Mac Lab/Meditech systems. RCIS and ACLS are preferred certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of relevant Cath Lab experience.
• Experience scrubbing and circulating for Cath Lab cases.
• Certifications in RCIS, ACLS, RT and ARRT are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and interventional heart catheterizations.
• Assist in interventional radiology procedures as needed.
• Participate in rotating call duties (~50% of the month).

Description:This position requires participation in call duties approximately 12-15 days per month.The unit includes 2 cath labs and 1 electrophysiology lab.The staff consists of 7 personnel for the cath/electrophysiology lab.The staff also includes 6 personnel for the interventional neuro lab.Day shift includes 4 techs and 3 RNs for the Cath/Electrophysiology lab.The interventional neuro lab includes 3 techs and 3 RNs.Patient ratios are maintained at 1:1.Equipment utilized includes temporary pacemakers, intra-aortic balloon pumps, Impella devices, Penumbra systems, Shockwave devices, IVUS, IFR, and GE mac lab monitoring.The electronic medical record system used is Mac Lab/Meditech.Candidates with experience in electrophysiology or interventional radiology are preferred for selection.Typical procedures performed include diagnostic and interventional heart catheterizations and interventional radiology.The ideal personality fit for this role is assertive.Floating to other areas such as the emergency department or discharge lounge may be required based on skill set.Rotating call after hours and on weekends is expected for approximately 50% of the month.
