Job summary

Lake West Medical Center is seeking a Radiology Tech Extender (PRN) to support Radiologic Technologists, assist with patient assessments, and manage patient flow in a busy imaging department. You will help with lifting, transport, patient prep, and data entry in PACS; follow safety protocols and CORE values.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED and less than 1 year of customer service experience. Per diem schedule, standing and lifting tasks, and travel up to 10% are involved.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Less than 1 year of customer service experience required.
• Basic patient care skills required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Assist Radiologic Technologist by completing basic patient assessments and preparing patients.
• Facilitate patient care including lifting, transport, chaperone and monitoring of patients.
• Assist with Radiology computer information and data entry (PAC system).
• Ensure availability of procedural supplies, ordering and stocking.
• Follow MRI and radiation safety policies and procedures and hospital core values.
• Register and check-in patients and coordinate patient care with health care team.
