Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 1 year direct patient care experience preferred in acute care or procedural settings.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification upon hire.
• Clinical training or completion of a patient care technician or nursing assistant program upon hire preferred.
• Knowledge of basic patient care principles and medical terminology.
• Ability to follow instructions under supervision and communicate with the care team.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and organizational policies.
• Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision, assist with activities of daily living and safety needs.
• Document vital signs, intake/output, and other observations per procedures.
• Assist with admission, transport, preparation, and discharge to support patient flow.
• Perform clinical support tasks such as specimen collection, point-of-care testing, and ECG acquisition.
• Maintain a safe, clean patient care environment and manage supplies.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and the care team and escalate concerns as needed.
