The Department of Radiology at Thomas Jefferson University is seeking a full-time cardiothoracic radiologist to join our faculty. The successful candidate should have a strong interest or background in academic radiology and a passion for teaching medical students and radiology trainees.
Job Description
The faculty in the Department of Radiology provide clinical services at Jefferson University Hospitals, a state-of-the-art tertiary medical center in Philadelphia and the primary teaching hospital of the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University. The Cardiothoracic Imaging division interprets adult CXR, thoracic CT, cardiovascular CT, and cardiovascular MRI exams. Our division collaborates closely with clinical specialties such as pulmonary medicine, thoracic surgery, and thoracic oncology. Our department utilizes advanced imaging technologies, including CR and DR radiography units, modern multidetector CT scanners, high-field MRI systems, FDG-PET scanners, PET-MRI scanners, and comprehensive interventional suites. We operate in a fully digital environment with cutting-edge imaging equipment and have a strong record of clinical and basic science research. Educational resources include comprehensive teaching files, case search tools, and radiology report communication systems. Located in the heart of Philadelphia, our department is easily accessible via excellent mass transit options.
This position can be at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. The rank and academic track will be determined based on the candidate's experience and credentials.
