Cynet Health is seeking an Adult Cardiac Sonographer for a 13-week assignment in the Richmond, VA area. The role covers bedside echocardiography, Stress Echo, TEE, and OR imaging, with day shifts of 10 hours.

Daily duties include imaging and image interpretation to support cardiovascular care. Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years of recent cardiac echo experience, a valid state license, and BLS plus RDCS/CCI certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of recent experience in cardiac echo.
• Valid state license required.
• BLS and either RDCS or CCI certification required.
• Competent in all forms of complex echo pathology.
• Experience with heart transplant, structural heart, and infiltrative diseases.
• Familiarity with echocardiography procedures such as TAVR, LVAD, Impella, and balloon pump imaging.
• Knowledge of contrast administration protocols using Lumify and Definity.

Responsibilities

• Perform bedside echocardiography (including Stress Echo, TEE) and OR imaging as assigned.
• Work on a 13-week assignment with Day 4x10-hour shifts.
• Ensure accurate interpretation and reporting of echo findings.
• Collaborate with cardiology and anesthesia teams for intraoperative imaging.
• Address charting and documentation per institutional standards.

Description:Adult Cardiac Sonographer needed for a reputable facility.The facility specializes in the treatment of advanced cardiovascular disease.Daily assignments may include a combination of inpatients and outpatients.Responsibilities include performing bedside echo, Stress Echo, TEE, or OR procedures.Required skills include assessment of regional wall motion abnormalities and valvular defects.Evaluation of shunts and saline contrast administration is also necessary.Sonographers will follow contrast administration protocols using Lumify and Definity.A minimum of 6-8 studies is expected in an 8-hour day or 8-9 studies in a 10-hour day.Shifts may start at 0600 or 0700 for 10-hour shifts and at 0700, 0800, and 0830 for 8-hour shifts.The position requires participation in occasional on-call duties.Candidates should be familiar with the necessary charting systems.Prior experience in an academic or large healthcare setting is preferred.Knowledge of strain imaging and the ability to submit detailed preliminary reports is essential.Candidates must be prepared to address the unique needs of various locations within the facility.
