Job summary

Origin Travel Nurses is seeking a Pediatric Cath Lab Rad Tech for a 13-week contract. The role involves imaging in a Level I Trauma Pediatric Cath Lab, with experience in pediatric and transplant-related procedures including biopsies, balloon inflations, stents, and valve placements.

Responsibilities include diagnostic catheterizations for pediatric and adult patients, on-call availability, and strict adherence to radiation safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year in pediatric or adult cath lab environment.
• PALS, BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA accepted).
• Preferred RCIS/RCES or SCRQSA(R) certification.
• SC RN license preferred or proof of licensure application.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic catheterizations for pediatric and adult patients.
• Participate in balloon, stent, and valve placement procedures.
• Support interventional radiology procedures, preferably pediatric.
• Ensure radiation safety and regulatory compliance.
• Be available for on-call shifts as required by the facility.

Job Description

The Pediatric Cath Lab Rad Tech is responsible for performing imaging procedures in a Level I Trauma Pediatric Cath Lab. The ideal candidate will have experience with pediatric and adult transplant-related procedures including right/left biopsies, balloon inflations, stent placements, and valve placements.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic catheterizations for both pediatric and adult patients.
• Participate in balloon, stent, and valve placement procedures.
• Support interventional radiology procedures, preferably for pediatric patients.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards, including radiation safety.
• Be available for on-call shifts as required by the facility.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a pediatric or adult cath lab environment.
• PALS, BLS, and ACLS certifications required (American Heart Association accepted).
• Preferred certifications include CCI with RCIS/RCES; ARRT (R) with SCRQSA (R) accepted.
• Current South Carolina RN License preferred, or proof of application for licensure.
