Responsibilities

• Manage daily caseload of ~15 patients in a cardiovascular cath lab.
• Perform diagnostic and interventional procedures as required.
• Cover weekends and participate in on-call shifts per cycle.
• Float to sister facilities as needed to support operations.
• Maintain compliance with hospital teaching standards and infection control.

Job description

Position Overview

The position involves working in a specialized department with a focus on cardiovascular procedures. The candidate will handle a daily caseload of approximately 15 patients and is required to have specific expertise in diagnostic and interventional procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a cath lab as an X-ray Technician.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and ARRT certification are required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and ARRT Advanced Certification are preferred.
• Experience with C-Arm operations is mandatory.
• Scrub experience is required.
• Proficiency with coronary and peripheral angiograms, stents, PFO, ASD, athrectomy, EKOS, CSI, and rotablade.
• Familiarity with systems such as Siemens, MedRad, and Epic (Excellian) is preferred.

Schedule and Availability

• Weekend work is required every third weekend.
• On-call shifts are required, with 2-3 on-call shifts per two-week period.
• Floating to sister facilities may be required, specifically to a nearby campus as needed.
• Block schedules are not accommodated.
• Local candidates within a 100-mile radius are not accepted.
• Pending state licenses are accepted.
• Requested time off should ideally not exceed 5 days.

Additional Information

• Guaranteed hours are flexible, with the possibility of up to 3 shift cancellations without penalty.
• This is a teaching hospital and a Level 2 Trauma Center with a total of 258 staffed beds.
• Scrubs are provided, and there are no parking fees.
